Of stories, tales and fables...
Stories are miraculous pieces of artwork. They trigger imagination and open up realms of our mind by provoking different emotions. Transporting us to the world of the characters, they build vocabulary, fluency, sequencing of thoughts and help develop coping skills.
Amaya’s StoryLand is a storytelling venture of Sarthak Enkindling Hopes, which came into being in October 2019, for ALL kids. An experiential workshop on the art of retelling stories, and twenty two engaging and interactive Story sessions with role play and elements of theatre have been conducted with children until the month of March 2020. The beauty of these sessions was that they were INCLUSIVE, including the children with developmental concerns with the others. It’s indeed blissful to share that each child was empathetic for the other, and with each session, kids became increasingly confident. Heaps of ideas, tons of actions, props and puppets, resounding of roars, chirps and croaks, creaks and squeaks, doodle and dance, world of words!
Amaya’s StoryLand collaborated with Kathalaya, Bengaluru, to develop a StorySpace in January 2020, in order to provide a conceptual learning through stories to children. These stories are designed according to age and level of children and support their school curriculum too.
After the world locked down due to the pandemic crisis, we’ve continued to offer stories to interested children and parents in different ways, according to their requirement and suitability.
We strongly recommend parents to read a story WITH their child EVERYDAY!
Your child’s bright eyes and keen ears must look forward to the book you pick up, the song you hum, the tale you tell and the story you share…
